Travel information

Due the constantly changing conditions of how to enter Thailand makes it for us not easy to inform you with the correct travel information.

Best is the check with your local Thai embassy for the latest requirements. But what we do know:

Travelers must have health insurance good for at least 50,000 USD coverage including Covid costs. Your insurance company should emphasize this in writing; copy of policy sheet is insufficient

YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE FROM SHA+HOTELS :

SHA plus are hotels approved by authorities for 1st night.

Tip: Choose hotel not too far from airport, that speeds up procedure and you can book hotel in the usual way.

– SHA-Plus hotel is suitable for ‘quarantine’ of arriving travelers from 1 to 10 nights.
– AQ-hotel in addition for reception travelers who have to go into isolation after positive test

This website gives you probably the most accurate and lastest information about how to enter Thailand:

Travel information to Koh Tao!

Keep in mind that the use of face masks in Thailand is now desired almost everywhere. Whatever may be thinking about this, the Thai people like you to use them.

Thai people are very friendly and helpful, and are happy to help as long as you stay polite. Please do not go to extreme barging now, because no one has been allowed to receive aid packages as in Europe.

Furthermore, remind of their norms and values, such as: do not speak too loudly; no bare torso in public places; shoes off and keep your feet on the ground if you are near Thai. Stay a little dressed if you are dealing with official bodies such as the immigration service on arrival or the tourist police.  Drinking alcohol on the street is undesirable and the E-cigarette is really prohibited in Thailand.

These are just small things for which you can get a lot in return and a lot of holiday fun.
